Today we started tearing out the interior for the Z. I got the tranny tunnel cut out and where his drive shaft was hitting before cut out.

I also got the exhaust removed.

trucks that need a "Z" is when the Engine Cross Member lays out before the frame rails do.

so when you "Z" it, you in a sense raise the engine cross member even with the frame rail. so it lays out flat and looks helluva lot lower.

not every truck needs to be "Z'ed"

I really didnt want to drill all the spot welds and i wanted to move them one at a time. Im going to smooth the welds all back up that way you cant even tell.

actualy the frame is raised.. You cut around the firewall area and around by the front core support and raise the area of the frame with the motor.
