Im currently working on 07 up GM fullsize arms. I have a set of stocks that I have been going off of and looking at a truck to get some ideas.
These should be easy breazy to get started. The measurements are not hard to get and they are pretty standard GM bushings. I should have some uppers made in a couple weeks after I get all this backlog caught up.
anyone have any opinions on the 07 up GM fullsize stuff?

you know what would be cool is coming up with a idea to do something about the outer tie rod. There is alot of angle of the tie rod when dropping it with the upper and lower control arms. If there was a way to flip it or to go to a rod end type that would be cool. Im sure a rod end would be the easiest.

/\ We do 3/4 heims with an extended vertical shaft at the shop.

It needs a S shaped piece like the S-10 tie rod setup probably if there was to be a part made that can be shipped to customers. In shop whatever is best for articulation.
The heim is also what most race car guys use on pieces like that also.

I was thinking the S-10 tie rod but it bends the wrong way and I think there is more angle on the full size tie rod than what the s-10 would be able to fix. I already took the suspension of the truck so its nothing I will need. But im sure it will end up becoming a issue and more people will want something to fix it. I am sapposed to meet up with the guy that bought my lowering suspension when I do I will get a picture of the angle of the tie rod.

Ekstensive has come up with the best possible setup for this truck...raising the uppers...shorting the lowers and flipping the tie rods...spacing them down with heim joints. My suggestion would be to copy there setup...but use higher quality heims. As the heims they use arent really high quality. Either way you do it you gotta come up with a way to raise the uppers a significant amount.

thats exactly how mine is being set up on my 2000.

First, its not the best possible setup. stock arms no matter how modified they are on a dropped truck with very large wheels is never the best possible setup. New arms made for the drop with drop spindles is the best possible setup.
The problem with raising the uppers is they also have to be moved in or out so the buhsings stay in line with the steering. If not then you get terrible camber change as the truck goes up and down. The moving of the steering up or down also creates bumpsteer and other steering and handling issues. The setup they have come up with may be the best possible setup for using stock arms sort of like they like to use 2 links on everything being the best possible setup for the rear. IM not knocking it overall because it works but its certainly not the best solution to a complicated problem.
Shortening the lowers is the simple solution without getting new arms because the uppers are cast and cant be lengthened. The best solution is lowers that are 1" shorter, uppers stock length and raising the upper mounts 2" and moving them in line with the steering. This works well for 22s and 24s on drop spindles.
as you all may know I can make them longer, shorter or whatever as well as I also sell aftermarket frame mounts that are slotted and use the 88-98 cam bolts.
