Theres a new TV show thats filiming at my job this week. Its called "sliced" and it will be on the History channel I think..

They filmed the first episode back in October which airs at the end of April. The episode featured them cutting open a bank van with all kinds of cutting tools.

The episodes they are filming this week and next week cover them cutting up golf balls and a golf club, which was filmed in the area where I work, the fab shop on my fab table. They also filmed a golf cart and cutting it up to see how it works.

Thery are filming a car we built that has flame throwers, tear gas, silent mode exhaust and smoke screen. Its some spy episode where they do chases and all that. Then this Saturday they are filming cutting the car open to find the things we hid.

As you guys may also know they filmed a show called "The science of armored cars" at my shop last year for National Geographic channel.

This is all pretty cool except I havent been able to work in my area for almost 2 weeks lol we have to be quiet and cant really do anything till they are done..

OK heres a couple pics that are from the filming of the 2 episodes that air tonight. The "golf" episode and the "spy car" episode. The golf episode was filmed on the table where I build parts every day. Not DHP parts but parts for my job. You may also be able to see my jig stands in the background when they are cutting up the golf balls and the golf clubs. The spy car was a project they threw on me and gave me a week to do with no budget... so i installed the flame thrower in the mirror camera pods, the smoke screen in the passenger seat back, the oil slick in the trunk/spare tire area, the tear gas in the A pillars, and the quiet/performance exhaust in the original exhaust area. I used a flapper type exhaust cut out. The flamethrower is an ether sprayer for starting a big truck in the winter, sprayed thru 1/8" copper tube with the end squeezed. the spark comes from a gas grill igniter that has a single AA battery that we wired in a relay and a 9 volt battery. one igniter per side.

I also got the piece of the muffler I made, signed by the host for my sons.
