Hey guys we're putting together a benefit show for Bob's family to help out w/ their needs. He left behind a 25year old wife and 3 kids. She was a stay at home mom who homeschooled their kids and now she has to find a job and take care of a mortgage and all of the other bills life has in store. The show is called Risen...a show to honor the fallen. This may be an annual event as well, it just depends on the response we get this year and the turnout. So far we have sponsors and donations for an incredible raffle from...AVS, Graphic Disorder, Layed Out Video, Keg-Media, KingPin Customs, RF Customs, The Kustom Edge, Crime Pays Video, HTownShowScene.com, Weekend Celebrity Productions, Surface, DFWMinis.net, WhataDesigns, B2D Customs, M.A.S.S. judging system, EastTexasMinis.com, Waylayed Inc, Big Johnson's Pinstriping, Kinetik Batteries, Deranged Rides, RPM Graphics, KIK, Braggin Rights Clothing, The Little Shop of Horrors, Ekstensive, and STATUS!!! Going to be some great items to be raffled off!!! There will be a top 25 or a top 50 w/ several Best Of Awards. Also MiniTruckin' magazine will be there shooting coverage as well. The show will be held on Sept. 11th in Carthage, Texas at the Baseball/Softball park off of the loop. I will post up directions soon. It's going to be a great family friendly show w/ some good times and some fun events as well. I hope everyone can come out and show your support to a family in our scene who has lost a fellow minitrucker. Every penny made at this show goes to the family, so please come and enjoy a fun show while blessing a family at the same time. Be sure to bring the kids too, b/c we have alot of fun stuff in store for the kiddos! Don't worry guys, we've got some stuff activities planned for ya'll too...should make for some good times/memories...lol:lowrider::02redxblaze:

Just thought I'd throw an update out there about the show, we're lining up our food vendors right now and so far we have a company that will be frying fish plates along w/ all the sides, we have a real deal taco stand (my fav.), and another vendor that does fried twinkies, fried oreos, fried cookie dough, and fried snickers...a lil piece of heaven!

Hey guys, we decided since our show landed on 9/11 that we are going to have a little something special for all of our veterans, police officers, and firemen in honor of ya'lls sacrifices for us. We're going to sell all of our merch for $10 (hats and shirts) to anyone with ID that proves they serve our country. It's not much, but it's all we can do this year. I hope this helps a little and it's our way of saying THANK YOU. I wish we could do more for you guys b/c of ya'lls sacrifice for us...

I don't think I saw it mentioned here but no alcohol is allowed at the show. Carthage is in a dry county and the ball park is city property so by city ordinance you are not allowed to have alcohol of any type. Sorry guys, but that is how it is and since we want to be able to make this an annual event we have to play nice with the people in charge.
no worries. plenty of drinking time after the show!

Very good show in memory of Bob. He had alot of good true friends that really worked hard to put this together. His wife and parents were very touched from all the support from this event. I hope this event will be back next year. It was cool to let a little boy with a mohawk hit my remote switches and see the look on his face. I had no idea at the time who this little boy was only to find out that it was Bob's son.
Nice show. I enjoyed it for the little time I was there.

Thank you for putting on a great show, I would love to see some things from your show carry on to other shows, for example:
-The lack of train horns all day was wonderful
-Not hearing every attendee's stereo blaring different and inconsistent genre's of music was a very welcome difference
I think you did a great job relaying the true message and meaning for everything that you were trying to accomplish with the event and it was really touching seeing the children Bob left behind enjoying the show and participating as well. Keep up the great work and I hope to see this show return to support another worthy cause next year.

I enjoyed going to this show! It was a very pleasant change from your typical mini truck show that we attend today. There were no belligerent drunks, no obnoxious antics, no one doing burnouts, no loud music wars! No disrespectful people.... I loved it! I will be back if they have this show again! It was great seeing Bob's kids enjoying the day, and I don't think anyone that stayed for the raffle & awards will forget that experience. I just have to give you guys props for making it one great day for us to enjoy our trucks and friendships. I know that it was worth the 9 hours on the road and the $150 in gas!

Here are the pics of the trophies I took to the show.
Bayou City Baller hooked it up and painted another deck for me to give out at Risen. I didn't get any good pics of it out in the sun because I forgot my camera when we switched rides on the way there. Here is what it looked like. Believe me pictures do not do this board justice. I was also asked to pick up and drop off the trophies by kingpin kustomz and the kustom edge. The kustom edge was the best of show trophy and kingpin was best interior. Kingpin made theirs look like Bob. It was a hit with Bob's family and everyone loved it.

Man, thanks alot bro for all the props. We def. enjoyed the show and the support from everyone. Thanks for everyones dedication on traveling this far too. That's alot of drive time for you, and we def. appreciate it! Who knows what the future holds for Risen...
